EVENTS OF GSNPPLUS

Title : Sangathit Awaz (Conference of People Living With HIV)
Details : PLHA Conference- GSNP+ organized the most major event of the year named ‘Sangathit Awaj’ (Collective voice)’ at state level to provide opportunity to deliver presentations on issues concerning PLHIVs of Gujarat. The event occurred on 31 January, 2010 at Preksha Bharti, Gandhinagar with an element of entertainment with dance, theatre and art; including the work and participation of our community’s children with an arrangement of Bal Nagari (Children’s Corner). 2500 HIV positive people had gathered at state level conference from across the state. UNICEF and GSACS created major support for GSNP+ from the beginning and the presence of stakeholders made the programme successful. Shri Jayanarayan Vyas, Hon’ble Chief Minister had given his gracious presence as a guest of honour and responded to all the issues presented by GSNP+.
Title : Charity Show - Mahesh Naresh & Party.
Details : Mehsana Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (MNP+) is one of the district level network of GSNP+, organized charity show for the mobilizing resources for the HIV infected and affected children on the 6th March,2010 at Dhudh Sagar Dairy Hall, Mehsana. MNP+ organized Party of Mahesh & Naresh (Mahesh Kanodiya (Singer and former Member of Parliament & Naresh Kanodiya, supar star of the Gujarati Film Industries)and they performed the dance and songs. In this event leading stake holder of Mehsana, Mr. Jayanti Barot (BJP Leader), Mr. Raman Patel (President, Jilla Panchayat, Mahsana), Dr. Pradip Kumar (Additional Project Director, GSACS)Mrs. Daxa Parel (President, GSNP+)Mr. Manu Choksi (Social Worker) were remain present. MNP+ could generate fund for People Living with HIV and also spread the information about the HIV/AIDS.
Title : Education Distribution Programme
Details : Jamnagar Network of People Living with HIV/AIDS (JDNP+) is district chapter of GSNP+, conducted education distribution Programme on 21st and 31st May,2010 at Balkan G bari and Tarmamad Society at Jamanagar. They distributed education support to 214 HIV affected children of Jamnagar district. Support is mobilized from Seva Sansatha, V.D.Bardanvala Charitable Trust, Raghuvur Enterprise and Sree Shakti Dal Seva Trust. Education kit contain school bag, Compass box, Color box, Sckech pen, pencil, eraser etc.
Title : " Aashaye"
Details : “ Aashaye “ is a campaign is done by Bhagvan Mahavir collage by the BBA student they gave so many gifts to the children of Special Children care home and children living with HIV/AIDS . They also play games with the children and do entertainment for the children by dancing and drama etc
Title : CHILDREN CONSULTATION:
Details : GSNP+ has organized Children Consultation program with the support of VSO on 25-27 June 2011, at Greenwood Resort, SG Highway, Ahmadabad. 30 positive children from 24 districts of Gujarat state have participated in the program. Mr. S. Jaypaul (from Chennai) has served as a facilitator with the team of GSNP+. The representatives from GSACS, CBCI and CHETNA were present to overview the summary of the program. As an outcome of the program, GSNP+ will plan further strategy and development for Children Living with HIV/AIDS.
Title : INDIA NGO AWARD 2010:
Details : GSNP+, for the second consecutive term, has bagged the prestigious award INDIA NGO Awards 2010 in the Medium Category in Western Region. Earlier (in previous year), GSNP+ has received INDIA NGO Awards 2009 under same category.
Title : STAKEHOLDER MEETING:
Details : GSNP+ has organized a Stakeholders Meeting on 21st March 2011 at Surat. The main aim of the meeting was to enhance and for betterment of life of Children living with HIV/AIDS, who are cared under the roof of “Special Children Home” of GSNP+. GSNP+ is running two Special Children Home (Surat and Gandhinagar) for the orphan and semi-orphan children living with HIV/AIDS with intense care and support. In order to build a platform, in which issues of such could be presented, the stakeholders’ meeting was organized. In this meeting, issues and challenges were presented on front panel, and stakeholders have recognized the issues and committed for their support to such children in future prospects. The stakeholders’ initiative to come forward and support considering the need of the hour, was the main outcome of the meeting.
Title : MARRIAGE BUREAU:
Details : GSNP+ has organized Marriage Bureau for PLHIVs who are willing to get married and spend their life with PLHIVs. On 31st January 2011, GSNP+ has arranged marriage selection fair. In this event, 134 male PLHIVs and 21 WLHIVs have participated and one couple got married too.
Title : FTA REALLY AT DELHI:
Details : GSNP+, with strong participation of 24 district level networks of Gujarat, has participated in FTA Rally at New Delhi during March 2011.
